The Greenhills Police Department has been selected to participate in the Ohio Prescription Drug Drop Box Program. This program was implemented by the Ohio Attorney General's Office, the Department of Health, and the Drug Free Action Alliance, who are working with the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators.

The Ohio Prescription Drug Drop Box is located in the main lobby of the Greenhills Municipal Building just outside of the Police Department. This box is white in color and resembles a mailbox type box. Citizens are encouraged to drop off their expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs in pill form or patches, and any over-the-counter medication in pill form. The drop off hours shall be during normal business hours Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm, not to include holidays. NO LIQUIDS, NEEDLES, OR ILLEGAL DRUGS ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF FOR DESTRUCTION.

The drugs collected will be destroyed within terms set forth by the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Greenhills Police Department will forward a report to the Ohio Attorney General's Office noting such destruction. Again, we encourage you to participate in the Ohio Prescription Drug Drop Box Program and do your part to help prevent drug abuse.
