Historic Townhouses and Apartments Available for Acquisition and Rehabilitation
Greenhills owns some residential buildings and some residential acreage that is prime for redevelopment. Greenhills is looking for individuals and/or companies who are willing and able to purchase and develop one or more, and possibly all of the properties in accordance with the goals of the Village and in a way that complements and adds value to the Village. All of these properties are located in the Greenhills Historic District.
The goals of the Village in seeking redevelopment of these properties include, but are not limited to the following:
a. To reflect and preserve the historic significance of Greenhills by maintaining and rehabilitating existing housing stock.
b. To achieve high-quality development that complements neighboring homes and enhances the surrounding community.
c. To incorporate a marketing plan and capitalize on the existing homeownership incentives that may be applicable to the neighborhood.
d. To ensure that sound market understanding and financial development principles are applied.
e. To serve as a catalyst to spur further private investment in Greenhills.
f. To increase owner-occupied housing in the Village
Regarding the townhouses, the Village has a strong preference for home ownership. Please note that in Greenhills, a townhouse is a privately owned single-family dwelling unit which is a part of and adjacent to other similarly owned single-family dwellings that are connected to but separated from one another by a common party wall having no doors, windows, or other provisions for human passage or visibility.
For more information about these housing units, call the Municipal Building at 513-825-2100.
