Village Townhomes
In Greenhills, a townhouse is a privately owned single-family dwelling unit which is a part of and adjacent to other similarly owned single-family dwellings that are connected to but separated from one another by a common party wall having no doors, windows, or other provisions for human passage or visibility.
Many who visit Greenhills think these housing units are rental, but many are actually owner-occupied with their own Auditor's Book Page & Parcel number and can be sold independent of the other units.
Layout of the townhomes is noteworthy and is one of the features that make the Village historic. For example, the side entries were designed to face gardens that were as prominent as the front entries. Many of the townhomes face the green space to, what now would be considered, the rear of the home. There was a concerted effort in the original design of the Village to break the monotony of the housing with a variety of setbacks, angles and porches to give each unit a sense of privacy and yet be harmonious with the landscape character of the area, e.g. laying out buildings to complement the topography. It is still possible to do this today since Greenhills has retained the Greenbelt that circles the community as well as the many green spaces that exist within all areas of the Village.

Good management of storm water drainage/runoff is important for many reasons. Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District has worked with others to develop a handy flyer regarding the basics of storm water drainage for homeowners. That flyer is attached and is a good starting point for any questions you may have about drainage from or on to your property.
